How do I sign up for a class?
Simply create an account, once you register your initial free credit is placed in your account and you are ready to go to the Reserve page, pick your class and your bike.
What should I expect if I am new to Zengo?
Zengo classes unite cardio, core, and weight training into a concise 45-minute workout. When you arrive, let one of us know that it’s your first visit and we’ll make sure that you’re set up properly. Please make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early to the studio for proper set up. You should be in the cycling studio 5 minutes prior to class to get set up, or unfortunately we will not permit you to enter the class for your safety. No new riders are allowed to enter the cycle room once class has begun as it is not safe for you and disruptive to other riders. Our cancellation policy is 7pm the night prior to class at which point the Unreserved option is disabled. If you do not cancel prior to this you will forfeit your credit.
Is there a minimum height or a maximum weight to participate in a Zengo Cycle class?
The bikes have a suggested maximum weight capacity of 300lbs. and are designed to properly fit participants a minimum of 5 feet tall. If you fall outside these limits, feel free to contact one of our team members to discuss alternate options.
Why doesn’t Zengo charge annual or monthly membership fees?
Because we believe that fitness is a personal journey. Clients simply purchase credits via an online reservation system and from there, create a customized, personal workout program. Gyms can cost upwards of $120 per month – every month. The Zengo model allows more flexibility – both in terms of finance and schedule – yielding a better overall experience and better results.
What is the cancellation policy and credit expiration?
Our cancellation policy is 7pm the night prior to class at which point the online Unreserve option is disabled. Please make sure to cancel your class prior to the 7pm cutoff or you will forfeit your credit. All credits have an expiration date. This is not a use by date or a reserve by date but the date the credits expire and will no longer be valid so please use prior to the expiration date.
What is the minimum age to participate in a Zengo Cycle class?
The minimum age to participate in a class is 12 years old. There is also and a minimum height requirement. All participants, regardless of age, must be 4'11" or taller. All participants between the ages of 12 and 14 must be accompanied in class by an adult over the age of 21, with no more than 3 minors per adult. All participants between the ages of 12 and 14 must also have a parent/guardian complete our consent form before taking a class. Anyone over the age of 14 is allowed to participate unaccompanied by an adult, but all riders under the age 18 are required to have a completed parent/gauardian consent form, signed in studio, prior to attending a class. We also ask riders 14 and under to please not book bikes in the front row.
What should I wear to a Zengo class?
We recommend wearing comfortable workout attire. Avoid loose-fitting long pants that could get caught in the pedals. As a beginner, the seat and the bike may take a little getting used to, so feel free to wear padded bike shorts or using a cushioned gel seat for added comfort.
Clip-in cycling shoes are required; they help you get more from the workout and provide added stability and safety on the bike. They are available for rent at the front desk for $3 per class and are offered for sale as well. Please bring socks. Our bikes accommodate universal SPD or LOOK DELTA clips.
Do I need to bring anything with me to a Zengo class?
Not really, but we provide secure lockers and cubbies for storage during classes if you do. Complimentary fresh workout towels, bath towels, and shower toiletries are provided; cold bottled water is available for purchase.
Which ages and fitness levels benefit from cycling?
Zengo is suited for all fitness levels and most ages. Indoor cycling is a no-impact activity, and causes less stress on knees, hips, and ankles than many other forms of cardio. Riders from all ages and fitness levels report that it is the most fun and enjoyable workout they have ever experienced.
Do I have to be in great shape to participate in a Zengo class?
In short – no. This is a no-judgment zone. Each bike allows you to adjust the resistance level to suit your own needs and go at your own pace. If you have a physical condition or health issue, please consult your physician before participating in a Zengo class. If you decide to participate, please let your instructor know of your condition so they can recommend how to maximize your experience safely.
What makes Zengo different from other indoor cycling studios?
Zengo’s trademark class is a concise full-body workout incorporating the use of free weights and core muscles movements to engage, strengthen, and tone all muscle groups. Heart-pumping music from a state-of-the-art stereo sound system fuels each class to help keep cyclists engaged. Motivational instructor coaching transforms the experience from a physical workout alone to a mental and emotional one.
