Drink Your Veggies with Cassidy

I love smoothies and smoothie bowls - so much, that I have one almost every day. I'm not a huge breakfast person, so I find these to be a great post-class snack or meal. Most days I teach two classes early in the morning and find myself starving by 9:00am. I am a HUGE fan of South Block, so I started making this knock-off of their PB&J bowl, and have come pretty close to making it as good as they do! 


PB&J Bowl


1 frozen banana

1/2 cup of frozen blueberries

1 tbs peanut butter (can sub almond butter)

1 frozen acai packet 

Almond milk


Top with:

1/4 - 1/2 cup Michele’s Granola

fresh blueberries

fresh cut strawberries 


My green smoothie is a great late-morning or afternoon snack, especially on Mondays when I teach the 10am and 6pm classes.  It doesn't fill me up like the PB&J bowl, but when I've already had lunch and need a little something mid-afternoon before I get ready for class, this is the perfect option. It's hydrating, light, and non-dairy! AND - I always drink it in my favorite Zengo Cycle cup #alwaysonbrand.


Green Smoothie 


2 handfuls kale 

1 frozen banana 

1/2 cup frozen pineapple 

1 lemon (or 1/2 depending on how tart you like it)

Small handful of coconut flakes (or fresh coconut)

1 scoop vanilla whey or plant protein 

Coconut water
