Alpha Epsilon Phi Foundation supports the development of ethics, intellect, and leadership and enriches our members individually and our chapters collectively through scholarships, educational programming and lifetime giving opportunities. Founded in 1959, the Alpha Epsilon Phi Foundation, Inc. has grown from a small philanthropic arm of the sorority into a dynamic, educationally focused philanthropic organization. Foundation directly supports the sorority by providing speakers at coventions and summer leadership seminars, educational programming and by sending members to Panhellenic and interfraternal conferences and training. Since its beginnings, Foundation has sponsored both graduate and undergraduate scholarships to assist our sisters as they pursue their education.

Share & Care Butterfly Bash

Apr 22, 2017 1:00 PM

Please join us Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00pm in Bethesda

Donation is $40 per bike

I created Bash as a reaction to my sweet 6 year old daughter being diagnosed with Cockayne Syndrome. CS is a rare, degenerative, terminal illness, that robs children of their ability to walk, talk, swallow, see, hear; and in some cases, sit up or even hold their heads up. It causes the brain to simply shut down, organs fail, systems shut down completely, it is a slow, painful and horrific process. We were told there are no cures, no treatments, and no hope. Being told that your child is going to die and there isn't a single thing you can do, is beyond comprehensible.

I partnered up with the Share and Care Cockayne Syndrome Network, and began the fight to find and FUND our own research into finding a treatment for our CS kids.

I'm proud to say, after just two short years, we are there. We have found a treatment, we have found a way to fight, BUT we NEED your help. Please RIDE with us and you can be the life line our CS children need.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society strives to end MS forever. Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
